You've stayed awake. Act now.
You may have read the message at the end of the documentary which said: "Stay Awake. Act Now.". Well, you're awake, and now you're asked to act.
The film's production lasted a few months and costed about £200. During this period the film maker, who was working for free, wasn't normally employed, so the film's costs are still unfunded. Any contributions towards the cost of the film's production would be enormously appreciated. Please give what you can - perhaps fifty pence, perhaps fifty pounds!
The Valley of Hope project in South Africa cannot operate without funding from individuals that give donations to the Valley of Hope (UK) Charity. The Charity is appealing for donations of all sizes to help fund the Valley of Hope's food parcel scheme.
If you are not interested in donating money to the Valley of Hope project, but instead would rather help to improve the general situation in South Africa, please, (2.) donate your time instead.

The film 'A Matter of Hope' is dedicated to those who suffer injustice in South Africa. Today, literally millions of non-white South Africans live in desperate, appalling conditions. The root cause is the segregation and apartheid that was instigated several decades ago. Hope is often in short supply. Before thinking of how to help, some important notes should be made:
- We mustn't subordinate Justice to Peace
The plight experienced by millions of South Africans today is largely due to the way in which Apartheid was officially 'ended'. Justice was subordinated to Peace. Murderers were set free. The new Constitution asserted that whoever owned land that was stolen under apartheid continued to own that land. This means that today 75% of South Africa is still in the hands of white South Africans; whites comprise only 9% of the population. - We must Fight Racism
Apartheid was a product a racism. Racism is undoubtedly one of the most repugnant forms of human abuse. It's one of the most ignorant forms of behaviour. Wherever we go and in whatever we do, it must be our active duty to combat racism, and educate those who are misguided. - We should Seek Equality
If Apartheid had officially ended with at least some basic focus on equality the situation today would be very different for the country's majority. Land - and therefore wealth and income - redistribution could have immediately lifted the majority of the country out of abject poverty. Instead, almost two decades later, little has changed, and thousands have died as a result of political inertia. - We must Promote Compassion for the Suffering
Today most white South Africans care little for the suffering of the country's majority. If the minority ruling class that has a "direct influence over the economic lives of the a majority" actively cared for the country's most needy, vast improvements could be made, and in very little time. Instead, greed and materialism in the minority flourish.
